The Staff Selection Commission is unveiled the final Exam Pattern for the SSC CGL 2017 Exam by releasing official Notification for every clarification about exams. The Commission has made a few modification in Exam Scheme and Syllabus. Therefore all the candidates must be aware about the Examination Pattern and other aspects. After going through this post aspirants would very well know about the SSC CGL Syllabus and Exam Pattern for all Tier I, Tier, II and Tier III/IV.

The final selection of a suitable candidate are made by various exam levels. The Staff Selection Commission has changed their Exam Pattern this year. So the Latest and finalised Exam Scheme is intimated below.

The SSC CGL Examination will be conducted in Four Tiers as indicated below:
Tier-1 – Written Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)
Tier-2 – Written Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)
Tier-3 – Descriptive Paper(Paper Pen Mode)
Tier-4 – Computer Proficiency Test/Skill Test/Document Verification

Tier 1 and Tier 2 exam will be on computer based mode (Online) and Tier 3 exam will be based on Paper pen mode exam. Tier 4 is Computer Proficiency Test/Skill Test/Document Verification.

TIER – I Exam Pattern

CGL Tier 1 exam is a preliminary exam and those who are submitted their application form successfully for SSC CGLE 2017 are eligible for preliminary exam or Tier 1. The scheme of Tier 1 exam is followed:

TIER – II Exam Pattern

Tier 2 Exam is mains exam or second stage exam. Only those who are qualified Pre Exam exam are eligible for CGL Tier 2 Exam. The Exam scheme of Tier 2 exam is followed:

NOTE: Paper I and Paper II is compulsory for all candidates who have qualified for CGL Main Exam. Paper III will be only for who are applied for the post of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO). Paper IV will be only for who are applied for the post of Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer.

Final Merit:- The Final Merit will be prepared on overall performance in Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3. But the candidate will also need to qualify Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 separately. There will be no sectional cut-off.

Computer Proficiency Test/Skill Test/Document Verification will also be conducted in final stage of recruitment.

Mode Of Selection

After Applying for the SSC CGL 2017 the candidates would go under the various stages of examination. The Successfully applied aspirants are eligible to appear in Tier 1 exam. The Commission would release the list of successful selected candidates for Tier 2. After appearing in the Tier II examination there will be another list of candidates would be published those qualified for Tier III/IV. After the Computer based Examination and the Data Entry Skill Test/Computer Proficiency Test/Document verification wherever applicable, the Commission will release the All India Merit List for each category of post of final selected candidates.
